About First Amendment – A First Amendment Issue

This website is intended to neither support or condemn former FBI Director James Comey nor support or condemn former President Donald Trump.

It is intended to support the First Amendment. James Comey has the right to explain his side of the dispute with the President. He is entitled to give his opinion. Donald Trump is entitled to tweet all he wants, and express his opinion as well. We respect everyone’s right to agree or disagree with either side. And do so without judgement.

In case you need a reminder, here’s what the First Amendment stands for:

The First Amendment guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition. It forbids Congress from both promoting one religion over others and also restricting an individual’s religious practices. It guarantees freedom of expression by prohibiting Congress from restricting the press or the rights of individuals to speak freely. It also guarantees the right of citizens to assemble peaceably and to petition their government.

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
